We were thinking of picking up the series, but as of now we’re turning towards more doujinshi until Shugo Chara starts up again.
It would be great if we could team up with another group and just do translation; the scanlation takes way too much time away from our other projects.

No, we don’t. We only translate Japanese manga. We are also not taking request for new manga, please read the FAQ.

The problem is that there are no raws.
The Halibut Group just officially announced on their website, that they were dropping Vita Sexualis, as far as i know there is still volume 3 and volume 4 that is coming out that have not been translated,: THIS IS COPY of message from the Halibut site, about them dropping VITA sexualis, its a pretty good series and it would be a shame to see it die.

.Well, my time has come and gone. I’ve been fairly inactive in doing my former jobs of typesetting, translating, and quality checking. Now, that I am entering my 3rd year of college, my workload has become substantially more difficult. I will be taking a leave of absence, at the very least, until next summer. From time to time I may pop in every now and then to make an announcement here since I will still be the primary financier of the group. drpepper will be taking over as head of For The Halibut scans. Administrator of Editing will be kundumstaf, and the Administative Aide to them both will be FighterFei. Please give them your undivided support as FTH pushes onwards into the future!
And now, for the bad news that few of you probably want to hear. We’re dropping two of our founding series. Lack of support throughout the group to work on these projects has led to this decision. Seikon no Qwaser will be dropped due to lack of translations since Dirty Deeds has a real job that he needs to focus on taking up all his time. VITA Sexualis will be dropped due to lack of interest in working on the project from the group as a whole. We will be rededicating our work towards the 6 series we have left. Apologies to those affected by these drops, but this decision is final.
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

If your group wants to keep this series alive I am willing to order the raw volume 3 and 4 from Japan, if you guys want to keep this series alive, it would be a shame to see the series forgotten, Halibit did great translating it, this would be a perfect series for your group to keep going since halibut has stated that time and real life forced them to limit what series that carry, Halibut did great and this would be a great series for Pretty anon to pick up
+1 for VITA Sexuality, the story really picks up around chapter 12 and on.
Too bad only 1 volume release every year… (5 ~ 6 chapters) and the raws are so hard to find.

Heavy Object is released every three months. Since it’s moved to the new magazine, it was delayed another month. It’ll be out at the end of November, and we fully intend on translating it.

Cause, the first thing I do when looking for info on a certain scanlation, is checking up on the last released chapter blog.

I was wondering, that exeptet for the rest, I didn’t found the special chapter from volume 3 of koibana onsen. So I was thinking because, you people are translating this serie, could you also translating this “missing” chapters?
We picked up the scanlations from the other group that was doing it, and at the time they were working on the extra. Now, of course, they seem to not be doing much about it, so we’ll contact them to see if they’re going to even release it.

Hey. So I was wondering when will be Chapter 33 of Watashi ni xx Shinasai be released? I was kind of looking forward to it.
We’ve just paid for that issue to be sent to us; it should arrive within a week. We’ve already obtained raws for 34+ and we now have a consistent raw provider, so we should be up to regular monthly releases within the next three weeks.

I was really excited reading it and so far this became my favourite one. Group working on it is probably dead….*or really lazy* last release was 200 days ago. 17 volumes complete 52 ongoing.

Sure, no problem. Yes, I did study moon. But in kind of a unconventional way.
I started when my parents got me a book titled “Learning Japanese through Comics”. It wasn’t a real textbook; it had different topics on the use of language, particularly in manga. They had whole sections on kanji wordplay and katakana and whatnot. I read that thing like it was my bible for months. I also had two copies of Ouran Host Club, one in English and one in Japanese, and frequently read the two side by side. It helped me grasp more grammar.
In November 2008 I started randomly translating comics on 4chan in a Code Geass thread and that’s basically when I started translating. From there I started doing manga and that’s how I learned most of my vocab and grammar. It’d take me six hours to do 25 pages, where I had to look up every other word and remember it, but after a year and a half I got pretty good at reading and translating.
In freshman year of college I started taking Japanese classes starting halfway through their second year program. In total I’ve taken one and a half years of college Japanese, finishing third year, and I’ve just finished two quarters of premodern Japanese.
tl;dr About four years, starting self-taught and then taking some college courses.
Ahh I guess one of the best ways to learn is to really get in there and JUST DO IT.

What do you feel about scanlators who consider readers as ‘leechers’? I was a reader for years and I had a very short stint working in a group. It’s a common trend to see scanlators get pissed at online readers but they tend to forget they are doing it for readers and introducing stories instead odf an ego boost.
(AB) Honestly, I feel kind of sad for the groups. Chances are the scanlators that work there are “leechers” from other groups as well. Alienating fans – their fans – because they’re not getting the recognition ‘they’ deserve is just ridiculous. Look at that idiot Prozess a while back.
I’m just happy if someone reads something I translate. I really don’t care if they know that the “pretty anons” did it. It’s cool enough that something nobody knew about was brought to a larger audience because of what we’ve done. I point to the guy who did “It’s your fault I’m not popular”.
