Spice and Wolf Chapter 7 Update
Since our original translator turned out to be a fake and a flake, Anon Black is trying her hardest to get through it. However, it’s very difficult, and will take at least a week to complete. It’s getting done before anything else is released, and this includes the easier-translated Knights and doujinshi. Sorry to anyone who’s been waiting for this for so long ;_;

I loved the first chapter of watashi ni xx shinasai~ yukina looks like she’s going to be an interesting heroine! I like pan-boy too xD At the same time… the concept is so ridiculous xD But that’s what makes good shoujo romance I guess :’D
omg. i saw this on the nakayoshi website. i really wanted to read it. tooyama ema makes kokko ni iru yo! but serieously, i wanted to read it. the art is good. (i kinda judge a manga by it’s art)
This project is already claimed by Nagareboshi Manga. It’s not fair that you’ve stolen it without giving them a chance to release the first chapter. No offense but you’re going against your own rules with this, I find it annoying to lay claims like these without checking first.
Black: I completely understand what you’re saying. However, this is a new series, and we’re not aware of any public site that allows groups to declare who is doing what. To be honest, when we first Googled “Watashi ni XX Shinasai!” the other day, there were no other groups that popped up that claimed to be doing it. As of now, when googling “Watashi ni XX Shinasai” and “Nagareboshi” together, there isn’t anything that states a claim; just the use of their translated description.
I do believe though, as manga is concerned, that whoever posts the first chapter first is given the rights to release the rest of the series. In other situations, there have been groups that continue to scanlate and fansub manga and anime that are being done by two groups; it’s more common in the anime arena. If they release first, we will not be continuing this series; we’re very busy as it is already.
As of now, however, it looks like it’ll take us a bit longer to get this out, as Spice and Wolf is our priority after having procrastinated on it for five months, and it’s a very difficult project to translate. We don’t meant to start any rivalries between us and Nagareboshi (after all, they’re a bigger group, and probably have much more competent staff), but we would still like to try our hand at this chapter.
If we happen to release the first chapter before Nagareboshi (a rarity), by all means we will still email them. Depending on the difficulty of the project, and our own translation / scanlation workload, we may drop it after the first chapter.
Now that that’s taken care of, we’d like to ask you not to assume things before posting potentially rude comments on other posts. Our ‘usurping’ of “Shugo Chara” was a special case, where it was nearly 16 chapters behind and nowhere near having another chapter come out – to this day, the other group has only released 2 more chapters. True, this is no excuse; however, in the grand scheme of things, it was better for the fans. In the end, everyone’s happy.

hey, about spice and wolf. isn’t there another scanalator who does that? cuz i saw on onemanga that there was a new chapter of spice and wolf(instead it was called wolf and spice), and it said that the scanalators were someone else. i just wanted to let you know.
It looks like someone else picked up the slack. That’s good, because it was a bit too hard for Black to translate.
